While being a jack of all trades is fun, I wanted to be more than a master of none. UX/UI seemed like the obvious choice, as it combines my love of technology design, psychology research and everything in the boot camp really solidified that belief: user interviews, journey mapping and information architecture have been fascinating highlights. Prior to this, I completed a front-end development certificate.

This was a great learning experience that launched me into my technical career, and got my foot in the door at for my first tech job at iPoint where I worked as a website developer and digital marketing specialist. This program focused on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. While coding may no longer be a primary part of my job, it gave me a key understanding to how websites work, and the power to customize experiences further.

I view my three years in banking support as my first role in User Research. By guiding customers through autofill failures and navigation friction, I gained a firsthand understanding of user mental models. I specialized in de-escalating high-friction moments, translating complex technical hurdles into clear, calm guidance for frustrated users.
